First connection
Install and open BridgeX on your Mac. Grant Accessibility permission, enable Bluetooth or join the same home network, then generate a QR code on the Mac and scan it with BridgeX on your iPhone. The code is single-use and expires after two minutes.
Mac not found
Check that your Mac is on and BridgeX is running. In the iPhone app settings, choose Connection → Bluetooth. Wi-Fi requires both devices on the same network; guest networks may isolate devices.
Connected, but the cursor won't move
Check the Accessibility permission for BridgeX on your Mac. If you just granted it, restart the Mac companion and wait for your phone to reconnect.
Move and resize windows
Position the cursor on the title bar or corner. Tap Hold left, move on the trackpad, then tap Release. Alternatively, hold Left click with one finger and move with another.
Scrolling goes the wrong way
Open BridgeX settings on your iPhone and change Invert scrolling. This also changes the direction of inertia.
Revoke access
On the Mac, choose Revoke access next to your phone. On the iPhone, open settings and choose Forget Mac. Do both to remove the pairing from both devices.
What to include in a support email
Tell us your device models, iOS and macOS versions, BridgeX version, connection type and steps to reproduce the problem. An error screenshot can help. Do not send pairing QR codes, keys, passwords or private typed text.
